Ransom Note

We were lucky enough to have all of our parents with us last weekend for Blake's Grandparents' Day at school (there will be another post about that later.) On Saturday, while we were waiting (and waiting and waiting) for my parents to get here, everyone got quiet for a little while in the afternoon. Blake was intently writing on a sheet of paper at the coffee table. None of us were really paying any attention to him. Blake nonchalantly walked by me, laid his paper on the table beside me, and walked away. After a moment, I realized the paper was a note. Here it is:

Could you read it? It says, "OO! OO! I have tucin your sun Blake Kirby If you ever wot to fide him folloe these direks". So, of course, we went to "fide him" by following the arrows. He was hiding behind my bed! Blake said the arrows meant to "go straight, go straight again, go into the room, look on right side of the bed."

We have laughed about this for a week...hope you will, too!

That is way too funny!!!! There is nothing like the spelling of a 5 year old! And the arrows were perfect - exactly where you could find him!
